Mikhail Blagosklonny is among the professors present at the Roswell Park Cancer Institution. He is a professor of Oncology and also a scientist who spends most of his time studying Cancer and aging. What has helped him all through his life is his strong educational background as he graduated with an MD in Internal Medicine after studying in the First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Petersburg.
To him, having one degree was not enough and so, he went back to the same University and graduated with a PhD in Cardiology and Experimental Medicine. Mikhail had all the knowledge he needed and what remained was implementing his knowledge and focusing it in the right direction.
With that in mind started his career path in 2002 when he joined New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York as an associate professor. He decided to increase his experience background and thus joined Ordway Research Institute as a senior scientist. After working with Ordway team for some time, he joined Roswell Park Centre Institute in 2009 as a professor of Oncology.
According to Researchgate.net, Mr. Blagosklonny was able to acquire skills and most importantly, experience. All these are what made him a good professor and scientist. As a scientist, some of his research includes; anti-aging drugs, Biogerontology, cancer and cancer therapies able to guard healthy cells from getting damaged.
He works as the editor-in-chief of Cell Cycle and Oncotarget and associate editor of Cancer therapy and biology. When it comes to aging and cancer, Mikhail is one scientist who aims for finding a cure to aging or a way to reduce the process and all its adverse effects. With this in mind, Mr. Blagosklonny has come up with a hypothesis concerning TOR signaling role in aging and cancer.
According to him, using Rapamycin will bring about positive results. Rapamycin is a drug that is commonly used to treat cancer. He suggests that Rapamycin can be utilized as a possible treatment for extending an individual’s life. In his research, Mikhail Blagosklonny has been identified as the most passion advocate on the usage of Rapamycin.
He believes that one day, he will be able to stop the aging process or reduce the rate and all its age-related diseases. He views a world with no aging and cancer is a world filled with happiness
